Invoice-Easy2.1-OOo.sxc - Invoice-Easy2.1-OOo.sxc

The program is an OpenOffice.org1.1.4 Calc-file (a spreadsheet application). OpenOffice.org is a freeware
productivity suite, comparable with MS-Office in look and functionality, available for many OS.

The file was developed in order to be able to write the first invoice after only five minutes of setup, regardless to the different types of accounting.

The formulas are designed to fit most types of accounting in many countries, which means, that different results are possible in a single cell, but allways according to your special data. As a supplement to this, the macros (action buttons) of the file will make the formats fit to the accounting of every single invoice. Rows and columns, which are not needed will fade out. Besides these optical effects, also every word, which isn´t needed, will be faded out. Customers, who don´t receive rebates or discounts from you, will not even see these words on the invoice, in order not to cause demands. Since everything works automatically and only the necessary data is queried in the setup, it should not bother you, if your billing doesn´t need all the functionality.

So, shortly said, you don´t have to change anything in the invoice form, regardless, if your billing uses net prices (e.g. in the USA) or gross prices (which are used in some cases e.g. in european countries), if you must apply different tax rates and/or rebates, if you sell stock items or bill individual services etc.

The invoices can be written by automatic data-overdraw from data sheets (addresses and items), by the use of references (simply type in customer-ID, item-# and quantities directly in the invoice), more or less by hand or by a mixture of these methods.

The invoice form can easily be translated into other languages (in the data sheet) and can therefore also serve for international transactions or can be applied in non-english-speaking countries.

I think it would be excellent

I downloaded the program but i think i must have done some thing wrong or i did not install or use it properly. I already ide installed it because i have no patience. I am sure that iam the stupid and not the program or the developer:))

When it comes to Excel i have no patience any way.

very difficult to change the layout

A very nice program, very easy to understand but unfortunately it is primarily aimed to US market and I have found it very difficult to adapt it to European conditions eg. changing the layout of the invoice is almost impossible. But as the author says you print your first invoice in five minutes. If you are not too demanding it can become your primary invoicing program - it has all features one might need . print an invoice, save it in .pdf and keeping a journal of them.

Review of Invoice-Easy

I really like the layout and style of the Invoice, but the screen went completely black. I simply copied/pasted the contents into a new spreadsheet and used the layout, but none of the macros worked.

Excellent start for a new business

If you are just starting out in a new business, or have been running on paper and need to switch to something simple and convenient, I highly recommend this invoicing sheet.

The instructions are straightforward and clear, the user interface itself is obvious and well laid out, and there are notes on customisation and limitations.

This sheet solves basic invoicing issues for most small businesses.

For many businesses, this spreadsheet is a real winner. Unfortunately, I require more than 20 line-items available per invoice so it will not fit into my own toolset.

Not intuitive

I tried to use the app, but because of my lack of knowledge in spreadsheet domain, I got lost. I tried to tweak the fields the way I'll use them, but it was to time consuming and I couldn't get it work the way I wanted. So I created the Invoice Template in Writer and that one works fine for me. Once again, I'm totally lost when it comes to spreadsheet - I just don't get it.

It broke catastrophically

I had openoffice open to load this up and it not only wouldn't load, it completely crashed openoffice, making me lose the work that I already had done.

Invoice -Easy2. 1 Review.

I think the developer would be much better creating a OpenOffice database and form invoice system rather than this spreadsheet it'self. Should the database allow direct data entry on the form with pulldown menus showing the parts/unit's (based on a seperate table) and then allow totals and invoice creation based on this then I would buy that database template.

Invoice-Easy2.1-OOo.sxc

I was looking for something to generate a quick invoice as I was not able to access the one I usually use. I went through about three others while searching, discarding them all due to complications or just general lack of ease. I stopped my search with Invoice-Easy and after some minor struggling, due to trying to work too fast, got the results I needed. I may not use this product again but I will be able to remember it if anyone asks me looking for something.

Very hard to use. I would not recomend to anyone. The template I found in micro office works much better.

Out of date

The only comment I have is to ask why this is still in OOo1.4 format rather then open document format as used in OOo2.x. I have converted it but some of the functionality needs to be updated.

thank you for your error-message! I've changed the programming. The problems should be fixed in the revised version, which I have just uploaded.
The file was developed 2 years ago and not changed since then, hence the old format.
